Local workforce and upskilling of managers for sustainable forestry company
Attracted and selected 60 candidates from the local community for hands-on technical roles, 45% of whom were women. All received Applied Personal Skills and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) training ahead of joining the new state of the art factory in rural area. In addition, Field Ready found and trained 10 high-potential entry-level technical supervisors, with a training programme focused on practical technical training, Applied Personal Skills and HSE. We trained their existing technical line managers to be excellent coaches of new and junior staff.
Selection and training of new forklift operators, 40% female
Attracted and selected 70 entry-level and early-career forklift operators, 40% of whom were women, to join a new sustainable logistics company. The candidates were all trained in practical forklift driving skills, HSE and Applied Personal Skills. All completed in a very tight timeframe due to client requirements.
Selection of candidates for global FMCG brand
Selected 15 entry-level technical and non-technical personnel to join the business across three operating sites in Mozambique. Field Ready operated an independent advertisement campaign and candidate selection process to identify the best young women and men.
Selection and training of candidates for hydroelectric power station
Over the last three years, Field Ready has been working with a major hydroelectric power company to find and train recent graduates for entry-level engineer positions. The company’s technical managers are engaged in the selection of candidates, curriculum development and internship planning. Training is delivered in partnership with national technical institutes.
Entrepreneurship and employability training for oil and gas company
Designed a marketing campaign and selection process to attract and train high potential national talent onto an intensive employability and entrepreneurship programme, 50% of whom were women.
The entrepreneurship program required candidates to develop business plans which were assessed by judges from industry. The training was delivered in partnership with a national technical university. All candidates received internships.
Technical line manager development for global FMCG company
Developed a solution to train managers from operations and maintenance teams through the Coaching Excellence for Technical People programme. Managers were selected from different countries and departments.
After the programme, there was a significant behavioural change in the management of junior reports, including better communication and more support towards company diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Coaching training for technical supervisors at energy service company
The company placed 22 mid-managers from technical disciplines onto a 16-week coaching training programme. The programme was a finalist in the company’s global awards. The training led to more confident and effective coaches and managers and was part of the company’s local succession plan. Each trainee developed a coaching plan, alongside a report from Field Ready with individual development recommendations.
